Mailer love from lovely Sendlers
The Seller Journal
Did I mention it smells amazing? because it's mostly corn product, when it arrived, it immediately had a wonderfully sweet and warm smell of caramel. I wanted to eat it.

Here at Rainbow Natural Remedies in Seattle, we love the compostable mailers. Honestly, I was so surprised that they are compostable because they feel like a sturdy plastic material and look so professional with their matte black finish. They're super convenient and helpful, and I love that they can be reused to collect compost waste!
Todd, Jill & Joey
Sendle's compostable mailers are a game-changer. As a company working to reduce the waste and single-use plastic polluting our planet, being able to send our reusable products in literal zero-waste packaging helps to reinforce our company's mission.
What exactly are they made of?
Corn starch (from corn not fit for consumption), PLA (Polylactide, which is made from waste corn too and other plants), and PBAT (Polybutyrate Adipate Terephthalate).
How long will they take to biodegrade?
In a ‘standard’ home compost, the pouches have been certified (AS5810 -2010) to biodegrade within 180 days, i.e. approx 6 months. Under commercial composting conditions, it would happen much faster. And as litter (e.g. under a tree) it would compost slower, but it will still happen.
How long will they last on the shelf?
Because they're made from plants not plastic, it's important to store the compostable pouches in a cool, dry place. If stored correctly, they will be tough enough to send parcels up to 9 months after purchase.
Do these dimensions include the flap?
No, they don’t. The usable dimensions are as stated.
